Well I have a chance to get some Kryptons for a really good price before I do I have a question.
The boots are the cross models, what are the differences between this and the PRO? I know the tongue in the crosses is just the softer one, and I assuming it can be replaced with the stiffer PRO tongue. Where would I get these tongues at?
the kross' come with the medium toungue. the pro's come with both the medium and stiff toungues.
call up a rep to see if you can get a pair of the stiff toungues from him.
I remember hearing that the Cross's had a wider fit as well... I think there are differences beyond the tounge.

I believe that the Pro and the Cross are exactly the same shell. The difference is the tongue, liner and the footbed. You get two footbeds with the pro but the Cross only comes with a softer shock absorber model. I have tried both in my Krypton Pros and the slight give in the Cross footbed gives you the feeling of a slightly less snug fit. The liners are also different, which may make the Cross fit wider, but I am almost certain that the shells are the same except for the colors.
You get a soft and stiff tongue with the Pro and the Cross but the ones for the Cross are softer, so the stiff one is between the stiffness of the two Pro tongues. You can also adjust the flex with a stiffener bracket that slides inside the back of between the shell and cuff, not to be confused with the forward lean shim.
