I need skis: gots, ANTs, Mad's

I've been looking for a pair of skis/binding for next season but i haven't had too much luck finding the brand - length - year I want at a price that is good for me.

Skis:
I'm looking for an all mountain every day ski that will handle well in deep powder, as i am moving to Utah next year, something like Gotamas (who doesn't want a pair of these), ANTs, Made'ns. I would prefer something in the high 180s to low 190s range and from the this past season (05/06).

Bindings:
I'm hoping to get into some touring next season so I decided I think I want something like the NX21s (something that is stiff and can handle hard skiing on the resort when i am not touring which will probably be 3/4 of the time).

Dude, hold out for both ANTS and NX21's. That's a dope setup.

go with bros and AT bindings, hicks was killing it on 179's w/ nx21s at alpine this weekend.

Yeah, it would be amazing to have a pair of ANTs, they're actually the only ski I am considering paying retail for if I can't find a used pair of something.

bryanthebold rocks those skis and hes like 5'6 150 of course I think he used to race.
either way, they will work you the first few times most likely, but youll be a stronger and better skier because of it.

I have a pair of 05/06 ak rocket swallowtails, mounted with mojo 15s at a 295mm sole, mounted once before at around 315 i think. $275 +shipping w/mojos

that would seem to fit the bill for you, i think you said something about a not to big or small everyday sort of setup.

OK, you said an everyday setup that handles well in deep powder, low 190's to high 180's. That sounds exactly like the rockets. 195, but ski shorter, not too burly to thrash moguls with, float great, even carve great.

You said you want to do touring, well this might be a bit of a stretch, but the mojos work great with trekkers, are pretty lightwieght, and are far nicer on the downhills than any touring binding.

Oh yea, there is one shallow scratch on the bottom maybe 3mm deep about 7mm across and three inches long (guessing, but i think thats right), other than that they are in perfect shape.

So yea, buy my skis.

I found them super-easy to ski coming from skiing big daddies everyday.

Im 6'4 180 and ski aggressively. Found them to be playful and easy with that big twintip.

is it lame to have AT bindings on your every day ski? I have every intention on tour a good bit but i'll be on the resort a lot as well. I just can't afford two pairs of skis at this time and I don't want to mess with trekkers.

i mean, if it's lame or not i don't really care, just currious what the mentality was.

i wouldnt say lame but I wouldnt think Ideal, but like you said, most of us just cant afford 2 skis and bindings. So long as youre not planning on skiing hard ice moguls all the time, AT inbounds is fine.

of course youd never want to do that anyway, especially with ANTs

Some one said something about me and the ANT's. Get them. Even being little, I can still rock them. It would be nice to have a shorter pair of skis, but using the 191's for almost half this season worked out just fine, and it took my skiing skill up a notch or two as well.

5' 9" 135lbs, and yea, I used to race.

The cheapest price, and only price, I can find on the ANTs is 650 which is what Armada marks their retail at. This ski is hard to find too. Times like these make me wish I still worked in a shop.

I have a great AT ski for sale. Used only for a few day tours, Rossignol PowderBirds, that I am posting on Geartrade and will post of the TGR website in a day if you are interested. It is a great all condition ski 184cm, it is the same ski as the B3. Let me know if you are interested.
