I'm going to take the car (2002 WRX) into Sears tongiht and get it checked out, but just wanted to get some info before, to ease or worry me.
Last Sunday - Car won't start - it trys to turn over but there is not enough juice. I get a jump and don't have any problems until this mornig.
This morning - same thing. I noticed on Thursday though that it took a little longer for it to turn over.
So I am just wondering if it's just the battery or the alternator? The battery is about 4 years old.
Places that sell batteries will test it for free. You need a load tester to do it right. Could be the battery, could be the charging system, could be the alternator, could be corroded terminals on the battery, starter or ground.
Four years be old for a battery. Chuck it, replace and let the truth set you free.
SOunds like the battery. I heard batteries typically last 4-5 years, so just get a new one.
In same boat, battery is 5 years old now, original on my 2001 Outback Wagon. Terminals were corroded something fierce when I checked it a few weeks ago and so I got a new one and all is right again.
But have the battery checked first, like the rest have said.

cold temps and huge temp swings, like spring, are killers on old batteries. if your warranty is gone, and it should be after 4 yrs, just buy another one with the right amount of cold cranking amps for your car plus any electrical additions you may have.
edit: another possibility is that your post need cleaning in order for the alternator to recharge that battery.
