Crews found a washout and rockslide on the SR 123 side of Cayuse Pass, took out a 65-foot section affecting both lanes. Besides providing early touring to Chinook, this road is my summer access to the Paradise side of Mt Rainier, to St. Helens, shortcut to Portland...:nonono2:

"Fortunately, neither incident (a rockfall) will affect the reopening of SR 410 between Crystal Mountain Boulevard and Morse Creek. This section includes the summits of Cayuse and Chinook passes. We are working to reopen SR 410 before the Memorial Day weekend"
