making skis...

i am planning a project for school (end of senior year)

1) How possible do you think making skis would be (1 pair, from scratch)???
(scale 1-10, 1=impossible/very hard)

i have never made skis before/done anything like this before
i will spend alot of time on it, alot, 30 hours a week, for a month
they only have to get 3/4 done realistically
I m thinking of modeling them after prs
i'm a high school senior, but i will devote my life to making them


2) How much will they cost??
manufacturers bump the price up right??
if it is between 200-300 that might be realistic (can anyone hook me up/point out a good website)

...i saw a post about making skis a while back...hopefuly i can get some good responses

(note: I have all day to do this, no classes)

(sorry for putting thsi in both ski and tech, I wanted a large response, and its kind of important to me)

I wouldnt model it to much like the pocket rocket, They have a pretty crazy construction with a lot of wierd spaceframe matierials. but It would be rad if you did this. let us know how it goes!

ok discount the pr part, how hard would it be to make normal skis, maybe not even carvers if theyre too hard to make

I wasn't thinking about modeling their spaceframe, more their sidecut/twintip design (prolly not the best idea cause theyd be wicked heavy)
