Re-Drilling over old holes?

I was about to buy a pair of second hand PRs on the cheap. They were fitted with solly bindings originally and then diamirs. I was going to put diamirs on. Anyway asked for pics of the drillings and i got these.

The original solly holes have be filled in and partially drilled over

I thought this shouldn't be done. Would the holes be strong enough or are they likely to strip?

Blue stuff in the holes is filler and black holes are diamir drilling pattern.

They are likely to strip and they shouldn't have been drilled that close. You could get them and mount the bindings back from the line.

FWIW, PR's (185's) like to be -2.5 from bootline.

those holes are fine, just don't screw your bindings into the holes. fill 'em and redrill elsewhere.

If you want to use the Diamir holes, I would helicoil them.

Done properly, binding pullout won't be an issue.

blue stuff isn't really "filler". It's just little blue plastic plugs that get pounded in with a hammer and sheared off on top. The plastic is very soft, so it spreads out to make the holes watertight. Whoever drilled those holes was being kinda dumb. You should have at least one hole width between holes. A cm is better.
