Freerides: Any interest for wider supports?
I'm thinking about making a wider "support" for the Freerides, so they will be more stable on wide (95mm+) skis. Se below for pictures - the "support" is the red thingy.
I use my Freerides on Gotamas, and I think it would help if the supports were wider. A lot of skiers buy the wider brakes, but they are still using the narrow(ass) supports.
The Plan is to get a friend to help make these out of a suitsable material using CNC machining. Don't ask me about the details yet, but the company he works for makes all sorts of stuff for industrial marine companies and uses both metal and plastic stuff (he has already made bushings for full suspension bikes, headset presses, etc, and knows what he's doing).
I am just wondering:
0) Has this already been done?
1) Would you be interested in this?
2) Would you pay $30 for it? ($20? $5? a beer?)
