Alta Report - 01.08.04

Day 35....

Met up with Altachic, Natty Dread, Skibe, and Altachica's friend for some hard core gapage.* Parallel noodles were made with a only a few pizza pies.

Being the alta local that I am, what follows will be a detailed, indepth, report.

1. Went right off Germ to some traverse to some fresh open area. Found 6 inches of some of the sweetest, creamiest freshies all year. Took some laps through there. Faceplanted while one ski went left, one right, me straight. That was cool.

2. Altachic and freind left but not before "ripping ballroom a new poo hole" as a.c. said. Which she did.

3. Skibe bailed. Wanted some extreme stuff or something like that. ;)

4. Natty and I found even better sweetest, creamiest freshies of all year going left off of Germ. Did a few more laps there.

5. I left. The end.

Thanks to the crü for leading me around today, I had a blast. Rock on...

*4 great rippers in reality.

good morning for sure. good to see ski monkey in LCC..it's about time.

we lapped the shoulder multiple times and everytime was sweeter than the last. i loved it. i loved the folks i got to ski with.

now, i rest my knee and hope the doc says good things about it.

yeah, i ripped the shoulder a new asshole today. that is all.

Oops, I forgot all the [censored] and [censored] that happened. Man, those lifts are long. Maybe later....gotta run....

Yo Altachic, you must have been super tired this morning. You were driving down from Albion to Wildcat around 9 and I was walking up the road (dawn patrol on pole line pass) and I was waving and you were fixated on something with this blank stare. Wake up girl, you're skiing Alta. You should be stoked in the morning!

Sorry LCC, it was a super stealth ninja attack. I didn't really know if I was going to make it until about 8:30 this morning. Don't worry, I've still got 11 passes left for alta. ;)

Other things on her mind...heh...like her upcoming ride with the monkey perhaps? Or was it related to those words we talked about on the lift.....something bulge and something something else?!?

After you left, things only got better. Met up with a fresh crew (Kryssy and Gaper) for some fresh pow on upper sunspotX5, then fresh on Regal/Rustler 3,4/Pimp chute (a new one for me), multiple creamy santa claus/jitterbug laps, and 2 laps at gunsight.
And at 2:45, the Castle opened till 3:30, which I've never seen before. Smooth as silk and not too many gapers on the hike.
Then some more high T, before my final run down the Ho.
A unexpectedly perfect, buffed, easy riding, blue-sky Alta day.
Good to ride with you guys.
And remember: what happens on the lift ride, stays on the lift ride. ;)

how deep must have that been? or was it all wind packed?

They were dropping bombs on DC all day and I heard Titus wanted it to get packed out with some traffic before the day ended due to the snowpack. It was sweet, somewhat compacted, but smoov and fast and a few face shots at the steeps at the end.

Natty - drop a line or a phone call. I might have to cruise over there next week for my annual Alta fix.

I was at the 'bird. Bookends was pretty sweet!!

I got the e from Altabase around 1'ish that the Castle would prolly go; glad it finally did after like 150" of new since it last opened. Should still be fun today and Sat.

Speeeeeeeeeelatatatat, get your arse over here before the mini homey; next weekend was good - I could just feel it in my heart. Natty's here; plus, KStall comes back for Alta lesson #2. :D I will be skiing Fri and Mon of next week - got fatherly responsibilities over the weekend. See ya on the hill or in the hut. :D
