I have a pair of Orage Rider's Edge ski pants and duct tape doesn't want to stick to them at all and I want to fix the edge cuts on the inseem. As duct tape has always worked to fix my clothes I am wondering what is wrong. Is there an alternative fix to try that doesn't involve sewing? Thanks

have you tried hitting the duct tape with a heat gun to soak some of that adhesive into the porousness of the fabric?

Flexible and washable.
Goes like this:
Shoe goo the rip. Not a buttload, just a good bit.
Lay some duct tape silver side on the goo.
Then tape that layer down.
Wait 24hrs. Remove duct tape, both layers.
Tada!

Seam seal plus duct tape is a pretty bomber patch. Put on a thin coat of seam seal, duct tape over that, then seam seal around the edges of the duct tape to keep it from peeling.
The Gore iron-on repair patches stayed stuck for a couple seasons on my old ski pants. Longer than anything else, for sure.
AQUA-SEAL! this stuff does a great job at closing off rips in ski pants and is fully waterproof: close rip and duct tape inside and lay down bead of aquaseal on outside. let almost dry then do inside. make sure aquaseal overlaps good distance on both sides of rip so it ensures good seal, and it helps to leave ever so small opening in rip before aquasealing it so the seal on inside and outside can bond to each other, essentially making a bond all the way through the pants.
Aqua seal is the jam! I used to build ski poles and this was the stuff that we used to glue the tips and the grips on. Plus it is really fun to huff on.Quote:
