MSA: binding jigs available in Reno
Maggot Service Announcement:
I have several alpine binding jigs that anyone is free to borrow, if you want to mount your own skis. I'm in Reno, Nevada, so I guess this offer really only works for anyone who's local, or semi-local. (Obviously the cost of shipping a jig back & forth doesn't make sense vs. paying a shop $20 to do a mount.)
Anyway, here's what I have -- all are skinny jigs except for the Look Pivot:
- skinny Salomon jig (912/914/997/977 etc pattern), arms bent out, can be used to semi-freehand a Salomon mount onto any width ski
- Salomon 747 jig
- Look turntable jig, also fits demo bindings, the new Axial 2, and the Axium and older step-in bindings (FTX and others)
- Look Pivot/ Rossi Axial wide jig - fits up to around 103mm waist. Big, big, big thanks to bdog for hooking me up with this one.
I also have a pile of old Look jigs, many for bindings no longer indemnified, so I won't bother listing them. But if you have some ancient Look binding that you really want to mount, chances are that I have the jig for it.
Obviously, if you butcher your mount job, drill a hole through the bottom of your skis, screw up your binding adjustment & blow an ACL, etc., I'm not responsible.
