Look Pivot Forward Pressure Q

I know, I know. I searched, but there's something I'm not clear on.

I know to adjust the rear screw to where it's flush w/ the cutout above the screw, but do you continue to tighten the screw until it STAYS flush (since it moves out after you release the boot)? Or, do you only do it the first time, ignoring the fact that it moves back out as you clamp and release the boot?

Also, does this screw work its way out? My P11s were adjusted by a shop I trust, and looking at them now, they're not flush anymore.

For most bindings you should cycle it 3-4 times....Should stay flush..

flush when the boot is in, dont worry about it when its out. I've never heard of it loosening back or whatever you're asking. seriously though, get a look/rossi certified shop to make any adjustments. i have to say that cuz i work in a ski shop
EDIT:
it should be flush with the outside of the cut out i believe, so that it's up against the back of the biding piece. and of course it should STAY flush

What the shit are you talking about? How else would you adjust the forward pressure if the boot wasn't clicked in? You make it sound like it'll blow up in your eye or something. I've mounted 100s of bindings and used this method on all look pivots. Haven't had any problems.

To answer the original thread question, like Z said, and with the boot in, tighten the screw until it's flush, then engage and disengage the boot 3 or 4 times. After you engage each time, look to see if the screw is flush. If it isn't, tighten it. It takes some cycles to get it right. I can see a lazy shop tech doing it once, doing the ASTM and calling it good.

lol, we don't even test the bindings before they leave the store. we don't even have the tester. but i think the testers click the heel in and out a couple times. AND NO YOU DON'T ADJUST THE FOWARD PRESSURE WITH THE BOOT IN

It doesn't say in there anywhere that you can't. And certainly not in bold. If it does, it's just procedural safety BS. Like technically you are never suppossed to bend brakes, because it's altering the system. But you know and I know it doesn't make a shit of difference in how the binding works if the brakes are bent.

You don't even test bindings and you're dolling out tech advice? Like I said before, me=mounted 100s of pairs of bindings, probably even hundreds of look/rossi pivots.

Edit: You adjust marker's forward pressure the same way. By positioning the screw with the boot in the binding.

sry, guess i was wrong. i just never saw the techs adjust it with the boot in. why i thought it would dammage something, idk. whatever, i'm not getting inot a binding war
