If its just a normal brak with no other complications ( shoulder dislocation etc ) the you should be able to climb after 6 months or so. 9 months for safety.
I broke mine 3 years ago and it took 9 months to feel solid enough to stress it without thinking about it.
Be prepared to break it again if you overstress it in less than 6 months. i doubt you want to brak it agian half way up a tricky pitch. ouch , bang crunch.

how soon will it be back to normal after the surgery?
anyone help me with these answers
all I gotta say is I broke mine, started skiing again a week later, broke it again, kept skiing, then broke it again... I think it is sticking together now- i'll see at my next doc appt. But I am starting to climb a little bit and I am still skiing and biking. I am dumb, I know- and I know if I take a hit to it, it will break again and its not going to heal on its own if I keep this up.
I think your doc is the best person to answer those questions, as your situation seems kind of unique. How does it feel now? Re-breaking it dosen't hurt half as bad as when you do it initially.. I am just sick the bones grinding.
Broken my collorbones 4 times. Never had surgery, so my injuries may differ from yours. Put it in a sling for a month. Rehab and ROM stuff diligently and was climbing easy friction face routes in 6 weeks. I waited 2 1/2 months before really gronking on the shoulder.
Best of luck.
