To Pinner and the rest of you wusses

While you were out buying batteries for the new LesboStrap 9000's you got for (Christmas/Channukah/Kwanzaa) those of us with true grit (myself, Vinman, and Dexter Rutcki) were actually out there skiing. I guess you guys can't handle anything the mountain dares throw at you, so you decided to spend Boxing Day at the local shopping mall returning those gifts you recieved that were just as sucky as the ones you gave.

Mr. Pinner, I'm especially ashamed of you. You move out west, and forget all of your roots. What, you're too good to arch mach speed turns through an ever changing GS course of snowlerblading gapers from Jersey, if full KIR regalia. Well, Pinner, closeted Garden Stater it seems you are the one who can no longer Keep It Real. And don't try and tell us it's because you wanted to spend time with the family. After the last few days they would have been glad to be rid of you for the day.

Too bad all you guys who didn't show missed one of the best days of perfect spring conditions ever seen in late December. The place was going off.

Well I was skiing today with 10-12" of fresh ontop of the boiler plate ice that came about from the R word over the last 3 days. And I did run into several people from the Garden State. Even gave a lesson for an hour to 3 little rippers. And they could rip. Loads of fun. :D

But this YoYo weather we are getting on the right coast is beginning to get on my nerves. :( Maybe new skis will help me feel better. Ya that's the ticket new skis. New Dynastar Legend 8800. Mmmmmmmmm feeling better already:)

Wow. I know you're being funny, but that came out pretty hurtful.

I do feel that time spent with my family is more important than driving up and down the Thruway to ski ice in borrowed gear. Given a few more days I probably would have showed.

Instead I'm going to keep it real by swinging golf clubs with my father tomorrow. In all honesty I'd happily give up the three best powder days of my life in exchange for an afternoon with my Dad at a driving range in NJ.

i skied windham on saturday, my first time there in about 5-6 years. sunny, icy, crowded and tons of fun.

It was a great day in spite of the conditions. Meeting up with Dex and Plakes was great. Dex gets the award for making a huge effort to drive 2.5 hrs to ski the same trail for 3.5 hours. Hope to hook up with you guys again sometime.

Sorry to be a wuss but it appears as though I have arthritis(never thought I 'd say that in my 30's), I go to the doctor today to find out if that definitely is the case. It appears as though I have a type of arthritis that is cureable but I have missed so many days due to pain it just bums me out.

Whoa, that sucks. Good luck, hope they do figure out a way to get you around it. I'll stop thinking you're a wuss for never making it to Mt. Slow when I'm there.

Yeah well....you guys suck.

Will probably be doing more skiing at Smuggs, Magic or Catamount than Mt. Snow this year since the the Weather Channel did not buy ASC lift tickets in bulk this year.

I'm just hoping the medicine I'm going to have to start taking clears the joint pain up in the next two months like it is suppose too. Otherwise I bought a season pass at Vail resorts for nothing.

I'm too young to feel old damnitt!
