mounting carbon surfs using the dynafit adapter plate
Anyone have any experience mounting the carbon surfs with dynafits using the TLT adapter plate from Voile? I've never mounted a pair of skis before but it seems like I could do this myself with a little guidance since the holes are already pre-drilled.
1. Attach adapter plate to the surfs, use epoxy in the predrilled holes in the surfs and screw them together.
2. Attach the dynafit toe piece to the adapter plate, do I need to epoxy the predrilled holes in the adapter plate too?
3. Determine which set of holes in the heel portion of the adapter plate to use for my boot size.
4. Get the spacing right for the binding and the boots.
5. Put some epoxy in the tlt predrilled holes then attach the heel unit to the adapter plate.
I have some of the information from lou dawson's site, and the instructions that came with the dynafit binding and the adapter plate (which didn't say whether or not to epoxy the screws into the surfs). So any advice in general that would help me get this right would be appreciated. So long as I don't rush into it and make any stupid mistakes (like my 1st pair of skins that I cut to fit my skis but went the wrong way), I think I can do this. What say ye, dynafit people?
