Thai Red Bull

Ho-leeee SHIT!!!

I saw these while picking up some Balut and checking out the Hot Asian Chicks at an Asian supermarket

Behold- Red Bull that comes in brown vials. I picked one up to check it out at 99 cents apiece.

I opened it and I swear it was liquid crack- the red bull taste is there, minus carbonation, and a stronger syrupy taste and texture. You know when you go to a fast food joint and they fuck up the soda fountain mixture and add too much syrup? It was just like that.

Anyway I pounded one at 12:30am, drove all night to Tahoe in the shittiest weather available, my eyes as round as saucers, heart pounding, and adrenaline coursing through my veins. It must have been the equivalent of 6 cans of westernized Red Bull. I got there at 5:30am still wired, slept a couple hours and was functioning fine at 7:30.

Bottom line- I highly recommend this shit. Get to your Asian food store to score the original Red Bull, and scope out some Hot Asian Chicks while you're at it.

That stuff is available in gas stations all over my area and my experience with it was similar to yours. It felt like something that should have been injected.

Sketchy shit when you take the night bus from Bangkok and the driver is downing about three of those. Seems to be the national addiction over there, little bottles of that shit littered all over the place. They say that there are a couple of stronger brews over there that I was too scared to try. Those energy drinks have a government-mandated labeled limit of 3 per day.

I have a bottle of that stuff sitting in my fridge. A buddy of mine bought it at a roadside convenience store in Brownfield Maine run by a Pakistani family. It comes complete with Arabic writing and a warning from the guy behind the counter to only drink it when nothing else is working. I always wondered how strong it would really be.

PSA for Utards: You can buy it at the Asian supermarket on 900 S (I think the cross street is 400 E). At least you could two years ago.

I didn't think it was that much stronger than regular Red Bull, but YMMV.

Nothing, however, approaches the seriousness of the Japanese energy drinks that contain about two cigarettes worth of nicotine. Illegal to import to the USA. I have one left which I haven't dared to drink, because the last one nearly made me pass out.

Oh yeah, I also took a bong rip in Argentina that my Israeli "friends" didn't bother to tell me was 75% tobacco. :cussing:

After living there for six months I was living on Thai Red Bull/Vodka and Viagra. What a way to go. When I returned the family said I looked awful. The whole Thai male culture is hooked on the stuff. I traveled with a monk for a few weeks and he even inbibed in it daily. Bus and taxi drivers are the kings of downing the stuff. As posted before, many different and stronger varieties available over there. Just remember no F.D.A. protecting your lilly white ass.

I don't know if the caffeine is what's supposed to give the "kick" in Red Bull, but the caffeine level in the drink is not that high. Something like a cup of coffee I think, and about 40% of the typical caffeine pill you get at Safeway. So the normal redbull is more hype than anything if you ask me. The Thai version sounds more legit, but again not more than a typical Vivarin or two.
