mountin in LA
in know tical's bud up in the valley is supposed to be good, and ace swears by sports ltd on ventura, but does anyone else have an opinion on it?
i'd rather not have to wait to get up to footloose and waste a day waiting on 'em, so please throw me some of your ideas.

i'm not going to either sport chalet or doc's. i should've said that earlier.

My bud works in two places..
Chicks in Woodland Hills and Ski.net in Encino...
Both in the valley tho..

Definitely worth the drive... I wouldnt let the old dude from ski.net touch my skis, buts thats just me..
If you want, let me know when you want to do it, and I will find out when my bud is working..

If you live in OC, the Chick's in Tustin have a good staff. Also, The head tech at Sports Chalet in Huntington Beach is the Man. Being a former tech myself (10+ years...various shops including the now defunct Newport Ski Company...sigh) it is hard to let any of those guys touch my stuff, but they have done a good job so far. REI in Santa Ana actually mounted a piar of Pistols for me without screwing them up, as well.
I didn't want to wait to get them mounted at Footloose either. Desperation just takes over sometimes for skiers in SoCal.

I think Tical is talking about a different ski net since Ski Net Sports is in Studio City. Anyway, I'd second Viva's recommendation. The owner, Claude, definitely knows his shit and I'd trust him with my skis any day of the week. Forgive me if I sound like a fanboy, but I really like that shop. I guarantee he'll take good care of you. In fact tell him I sent you (not my board name of course). Besides, you live right by there don't you?

^^^^^ Im talking about the same place.. Newayz, to each there own.. The owner of that place rubbed me the wrong way, and now I dont even like being in his presence.. But my buddy does work there several days a week and he would probably be the one to do your skis anyways so you will be fine..

That's just cause you suck. ;) :D Personalities aside, everyone in there knows what their doing. That's rare nowadays in an LA ski shop. OG Sport Chalet in La Canada was good, but I wouldn't let them touch my skis now.
On a sort of side note, is your buddy I..... or someone else that works there?

My buds name is Marc... He's in his early 20's...

I've probably met him, but I forget names easily. Just wondering. I'm not in there much since I live in Norcal, but I've had some exceptional treatment by everyone in there. That's why I rave about the place.
