You guys would've loved the look on this guys face today; I think I heard his jaw hit the floor. Friggin' fresh outta college green behind the ears PT boy. So, he goes and tells the licensed PT guy at TOSH here in SLC and the licensed guy comes back and says that it is ok. Just let pain be your friend and stop when you feel it or don't do anything that causes it. Bwaaaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaa lil PT boy!!! (no offense LPH)
Dude couldn't believe I didn't want my leg to turn to mush in the next 6 weeks while waiting for the MCL to heal. Duh!!
If I told him I went skiing today (just groomies) he prolly would've passed out cold on the spot. Then I would've had to explain to the licensed guy what happened.
Anyway, the human body is a miracle unto itself!!! I am continually amazed by it. A few days ago I was telling Harpo how worried I was about my knee, then blam-o (almost overnight) it starts feeling way better. Yahoooooooooo!! Still a little tender and tweaky in the outside direction, but I can definitely tell that things are "tightening" up in there and healing. Schaweeeeeeet!!
Not sure when the first pow day on it will be or when the first straightline will be, but I am definitley taking it one small step at a time. Pain is my friend!!
BTW, I friggin' love skiing!! Everything about it from going to bed the night before knowing that you will be skiing the next day to waking up early to check the reports to packing up your gear to stretching out to driving up LCC to jamming in the parking lot to getting on the chair to taking that first run. I love the fluidity of the body in motion!! Truly a thing of beauty!!!
