I got a new pair of seth viscious skis and was wondering if any one has an opinion on where to mount them. I wont be using them for hardly and park stuff. Mostly a freeride and deep day ski. should i mount them standard or back even farther. Let me know what you think.

I'll chime in on this one too.
-According to seth, the center line markings are off by 2cm on the ski. What I mean is mounting 0 (on the boot center line) is in essence mounting -2 from actual boot center. I mounted my 179s +3 on the scale, so +1 in actual measurement from where the boot center should be. Nice and manuverable, I've only tested them on groomed for a bit to get a feel for the setup. Rail turns suprisingly well. +3 seems to be a standard for mounting them, if you're lighter/smaller, I know a couple people running +4 according to the scale on their 189s with no ill effects. Makes swinging the ski in trees a tad easier. Hope this helps, if you want a bit more info straight from the source (seth) check out the K2factoryteam.com forums and the thread on SV mounting. don't worry about the scale being off. it just confuses things. it is, but everybody mounts off of it, so just go with it.
I mounted my 189 at +4 on the scale. Like them alot, little tip dive in some deep pow...but it could just be because I need to be in better shape.
I know vicious originally mounted his +5, which is where seth mounts his, but felt it was too far foward and moved it back to +3. now he likes it alot. Im sure he'll chime in on it.
I know people who have the 179 at +3 and love it as well.
If they are gonna be your everyday ski, I would go +4. For better powder performance, maybe +3 or +2.
First of all, I might contact K2 and tell them they should make it a requirement that anyone that buys the new Seth's be able to spell V-I-C-I-O-U-S properly. ;)
That aside, Iggy is correct. I originally mounted my 189s at +5 thinking it would make them a bit more agile as my everyday ski. However, upon getting into deeper snow for the first time on them, the tip dive was enough to make me want a change. I can probably tack a bit of the dive up to early season bad form, but I'm extremely happy with the remount at +3. I've found some deep recently and am conviced that +3 is the $$ spot (for me at least).
You need to take several things into consideration when choosing a mount on the Vicious. First don't worry about the mount graph being off, it just confuses people. Also, if you are using it as mainly a freeride and deep day ski, I'd say keep it further back than further forward. Also, take into consideration your height/weight. I'm 6'3" 190#, so the way I pressure the ski at +5 will be quite different than someone the size of Seth.

Thanks for all the info. I am going to be using the ski for mostly new snow days. Im 6' 1" and 210# and I think from all the info everyone has given me I am going to mount them +2 on the scale. It sounds like that will work well for me.
