I have two beacons, one with a cracked case (thanks TSA!). Seems to work okay, but I don't want to use it for anything other than practice. Maybe we can get together some time.Quote:

I got an older pieps analog beacon (457) here on the forums that makes a good practice beacon for $75.
Im sure someone has something like that laying around.

Your post looking for a junker beacon was a while ago, but..
If you're still looking for one and are near Burlington, I think outdoor gear exchange had a pretty cheap beater on consignment. I'd be down to do some practicing too if you're interested in meeting up. I should have a transciever by the end of the week, so PM me if interested.
