Wax bench
Can't find shit using the search....I think I suck cause I know somebody is going to post a link and then I'll feel like the dumbass I am.
Gonna ask anyway.....
I live in an apartment but we do have a garage with a plug. It's short term living for us, so I don't want to spend the money to put in a "real" work bench if I'm just going to move. So I'm thinking of either buying a Swix wax table (because they're so portable), or trying to make my own portable table.
Thoughts or suggestions? I do all my own tuning and I do a lot of edge replacement and general tech work for a bunch of people...so it kinda has to be decent enough to go through a 100 waxings in a season....

plywood, 2X4s, carriage bolts, wing nuts...
take you maybe 20 minutes to build, 5 mins to break it down and move it whenever...

Artechski.com sells their own bench design. Our ski team at school has one, and it's just as good as the swix benches. It's heavy (sturdy) and the legs fold in, so it's portable. At $99, you can't go wrong.

I make an adjustable boot sole that attaches to a Workmate. More useful than a dedicated bench.

Big, old, heavy folding tables found in the dumpster or for $20 tend to work well. If you are looking for something nicer. I'd suggest the swix table or the other $99 one mentioned.

Toko makes a nice folding wax table, too.
