Jib skis???
Okay, I'm away from big mountains but a the local Appalachian Hill has a terrain park, etc... I've never done the jib thing, but think this is a great time to learn since it will keep me interested on the mountain. I'm not sure, however, what skis would be best? I'm 6', 190-195 lbs. Buying some padded shorts, etc... Best ski out there that is fun out of the park as well??? Interested in some suggestions.

K2 Fujative is one of the best park skis out there, not as versitile all mountain as say the K2 Public Enemy, but can still hold its own. Check out newschoolers.com

I like my Scratch FSs okay.

If you're going to really jib on them, get a cheap (cost, not necessarily quality) ski like a Line Invader, K2 Fujative, Rossi Sprayer, etc. Why spend an extra few hundred bucks when you're just going to trash them anyway?

I got a pair of PE's just for this purpose. I haven't mounted them yet, but figure they should foot the bill well. Just a bit stiffer than your average jib ski, which isn't necessarily designed for 220 pound gorillas. Plus it's supposedly a decent all around ski, so when I get bored with the park I can still tear around the resort without changing skis.
That said, Haskins is lighter than both of us and skis his Karmas in the park. He says it's the best park ski he's ever used, and he's no slouch in there. Plus it's definitely a great ski to have for the rest of the hill. I'm thinking of ditching the PEs and getting some Karmas, only if I can find some cheap though. PEs can be had for next to nothing.

i like the scratch fs's all right, thats what i ride for park, i want to get some armada's, i remember skiing some of their park skis (i think the arv's?) and they actually ripped out of the park too. Made me want to go carve icy groomers.

Völkl Dogen?
Cheap, and it's still Völkl (even if it was made in China...)
They've got some pretty good reviews. Soft but even flex. Should suit for jibbing but still be somehow useable all-mountain.
Can't wait to test mine...:) (in a few weeks I hope!)

Cletus has some cheap 1080's for sale in gear swap.

and I'll sell em to you Rusty at the cheapest end of my spectrum as Karmic repayment for four years ago when you sold me those mint Rossi Pow Airs + p12s for $300 after your knee surgery.
Let me know. As the note says, I can't get pics of the bases for you or send them for a month, but they're in fine shape, and I'll sell em to you for cheap if you can wait...
