So, late last season I was unfortunate enough to bust one of the back boot clips on a pair of BCA trekkers (the part that holds the ankle strap).
Does anyone have any experience dealing with BCA on this type of thing? Do you think they'd be willing to send out a replacement part? The rest of the trekkers are in perfect condition, it's just that stupid plastic clip.
I just emailed them today, so we'll see how things go. Wish me luck.
Do you mean the clip that holds the strap together (you know, a clip-fix clip?) or the heel lever, that the clip runs throught?
If it is the clip-clip, you can get those parts from any hardware/sport stores for about 0.20$, so you dont have to bother BCA.
If it´s the lever,well, you could steal it from some step-in crampons and customise it.
Or bother the BCA to send you one.
Yeah, it's the plastic lever that's busted.
We'll see how they respond...
BCA customer service is awesome. Give them a call.
I switched to the heel bails from G3 tele bindings; they fit right on there and are bomber and easier to use than the stock ones.
Get some Naxo's.
