Tv is too big. Might be easier to take it apart to get it in my condo. Is this a difficult thing to do? Is putting one back together that difficult? thanks

Taking it apart and putting it back together are not difficult.
However most TV's are not much smaller with the case removed.
A rear projection TV could be dismanteled further as it dosen't have a tube screen the way others do. But without the right alignment instructions and technical equipment getting it to work again would be a real challange....it short don't.
Just put it on the end of a rope and hoist it up the outside. Taking a window frame out of the building to allow access is much easier than DIY TV repair.
Brett, you really need to stop taking apart expensive things that are somewhat difficult to reassemble. First you removed the topsheet from your Spats, now this....
well, we did some crazy assed shit to get the fucker in my condo today.....got er done though and didn't have to take it apart! woo hoo! thanks for the advice idris...we did in fact hoist the beast onto my deck with a climbing rope, pulley, and a jeep...;)

i too can take anything apart, the trouble starts when i have to put it back together.

Picture this.
A 60 inch TV with tow straps around it, being raised out of the back of my truck, from under my balcony, which is about 20 feet high. I fixed the pulley to the balcony above my house, and I took off the entire deck railing. Our biggest fear was that with the jeep pulling the rope through the pulley, that we could possibly pull the deck off the building. :eek:
thank god that didn't happen....if it did, then a 60 inch tv, and 3 decks full of firewood would have crashed onto my truck....would have really sucked.
