Is it possible to convert my ascension clipfix skins to the standard sts tailkit? I have XXX's, and the clipfix does not like the flared tail. Its a pain in the ass having to re-clip them all the time, and I like that sts style kit. I tried filing the tails of my skis, but this did not really help all that much.

Yes.
1. Call BD, get the glide lite tail rig
2. Cut of Clip Sux or drill out rivets
3. Attach glite lite rig with rivels or small machine screws with loctite
4. Learn how to get all rando by taking off your skins with your skis still on
Buy some elastic cord. Make a loop through the clipfix tail webbing that's long enough to go around the little hook on the heelpiece of Fritschis. Cheaper, less painful, and better than STS.Quote:

Yep, I've ordered the STS kit to go with my clipfix skins too. Looks like I'll end up with (virtually) the same skin as this year's model, but for about $50 less.

not hard, need something to poke holes and a hammer
