Japan is awesome but it ain't going nowhere. You got anywhere else on your bucket list that you'd want to check out for a season?
Should I go there for the first time this winter? Long way to go to get skunked, which happens to some people.
Could be a good winter to emigrate to Japan..if they accept refugees from USA dictatorship

The risk of shit snow quality is always a risk, and one must accept it to reach ski zen.
That being said, Japan is arguably the most possible fun you could have on a powder-free ski vacation. Their culture is so incredible and totally whack at the same time. I love it.

The year we went to Niseko cuz nothing was happeneing in BC it turned out to also be a lowsnow year which means a buddy was still brushing the snow away from the bus schedule at shoulder height so he could read it
