Trying to help a friend out by mounting her Tyrolia am 12 GW bindings and the brakes do not snap in flush with the heel peice. There is about an eighth of an inch gap between the two peices so the two mounting holes do not line up. I have put a lot of pressure on trying to push them together with no luck. Is the a trick in getting them to snap together so the peices are flush together? Thanks</p>
hard to understand ^^ but if you are doing it by hand until you snap the boot into most bindings the brake arms don't really stow like they would when the boot is in the binding is all i can offer ?
I havne't worked on the AMs, but on the attacks you have to put the brakes in on an angle and then rotate them down till the snap into place. You cna't just put them on the correct plane and then push them in. Maybe that helps?

But like I mentioned, Ive never mounted a pair, so make sure that one is correct.

Pics would help if you can get them to upload. On attack 13/14 there is about an 1/8” gap vertically between the screw holes in the brake piece and the metal track IIRC. So the holes line up vertically, but are not going to be flush against each other. As long as the brake snaps into the track and the holes line up vertically you should be good. Run a screw through it while it’s off the ski to test.

Sending a scan of the bindings is very useful. @liv2ski sent me the following which matches the typical Tyrolia & Tyrolia Attack template.

In cases like this (and many bindings) you can scan the plate of bindings on a flat bed scanner:
- Carefully place the plates or bindings on the scanner glass
- Cover the plates or bindings with a box
- to minimize light around the box, add some weight to the top
- After an overview scan, crop the scan area and hit scan
- Save as a .pdf, .png, .jpg or other graphic file
- Open in a graphic application and print
- Compare to original
To create a template, import into CAD file (or get it to someone) to trace and compare measurements with the plates or bindings.
