Is this fixable?
My 9yo somehow did this in the park today. The core split horizontally (so, the layers didn’t delam, as the core is still firmly glued to the top sheet and base).
Safe to ski on for one more day as-is? Or would we be risking a bigger failure?
Epoxy and clamp? I’ll see if Faction will warranty, but I’m looking for a quick fix for now….

Def epoxy and clamp, but they should warranty for that failure. I’ve seen it happen a few times from the ski slapping on icy landings.

Thanks, unicorn and sts.
Thoughts about skiing on that ski for one day before fixing it? I’d rather not have my kid destroy his GS skis tomorrow messing around in the park and skiing over rocks, so if the split is unlikely to spread [much] further, I’ll keep him on the Factions.

If it's just for one day, and it's wood, I'd just use wood glue and clamps for as long as possible.

Thanks, gaijin. Turns out my kid is going to have directed free skiing with his team, all in race skis, so I don’t need to further test these skis…
