Bullit vs Heckler
I was wondering what the differences in the climbing capabilitiies of the SC Bullit and HEckler. Obviously I like the beefier travel of the Bullit but I enjoy climbing and this will be my only bike so I was wondering how much better the heckler is on the uphill. I have reead all of the old threads and was wondering if anyone had firsthand experience on both bikes.
Thanks

For an only bike go Heckler. No question.

Thanks, ten minutes away from bullit auction and I think that I had better pass.

I've demo'd a Bullit before, definitly sweet on the dh, but its a grunt pedalling it up. For my riding style my choice would be the Heckler.

Bagtagley has got both the Heckler and the Bullit, maybe he will chime in.
Also it depends a lot on how you set the bike up. Last weekend Bag rocked his Heckler, while Ski Monkey rocked his Bullit. They were both set up similar for an all mountain ride, and they both looked like they climbed and decended well.

That's a pretty tough question to answer. I own both and love both bikes. But, if I had to pick one it'd probably be the Bullit. With a 7" 888 and a hefty build the thing can still go pretty much anywhere. The climbs tend to get a bit painful, but a smaller, lighter fork would help that quite a bit.
Though the Heckler climbs really well, and is capable of taking quite a beating, it's just not quite enough bike for bigger drops and fast DH.

bag, read the dude's post...ONLY bike. c'mon. I love my AS-X but hell no I wouldn't want it for my only bike. Fock that. A trailbike worthy of a beating is the best way to go for an only bike...FXR, 6-Pack, Heckler, Moment, X-5, Saber, Coiler, etc...there are tons of them out there.
Plus yours and my idea of 'bigger drops and fast DH' are probably not the same as most peeps' ;)
