Pole Clips

I’m looking for someplace to buy these little pole clips. I usually find them laying on the ground somewhere around the ski area. Unfortunately, I’ve been losing them faster than I’ve been finding them.

Any XC shop would prolly give you as many as you want. Our Winthrop, WA shops would.

Not sure I understand the point. What is the actual use for them?
