We're heading up to Revelstoke for a week and intend to explore Rogers Pass for a few days. I've picked up guide books and maps, and poured through what I can find here (search still sucks) and wondered if (a) anyone on here is local or knowledgeable on the area and (b) what other good sources of info, routes, etc you might recommend I read up on before heading there.

I assume you have seen on the avy report you can click on the map for recent field observations. These are super helpful.
Completing your Glacier National Park quiz online ahead of time speeds up the process if you head into a permitted area.
Guessing you are staying in Revelstoke. There are several touring options just outside of town. Research them and have them in your back pocket if the pass is closed.
Once you get there folks at the discovery center are super helpful.
I found Sproul’s run ratings to be pretty conservative. Just an fyi as you choose where to go.
Sounds like you have quite a bit of information there. It really is hard to have a bad day at the pass. Like Cat mentioned, avalanche report is worth following to see how the conditions are lining up. Definitely try to get your parking pass early. Ultimately, the best route will come down to the weather and conditions. If you get some good visibility and stability, some of the classics would be great. Mount Rogers, seven steps/forever young and Catamount are some of my favourites. I have a good part of January/February free and will be up in that area and up Highway 23. I was up that way last week but am by no means an expert on the area. PM me and I can give you a little beta.
Cat: I did complete my GNP quiz and passed, and expect permit/parking info soon. We are staying in Revelstoke (and skiing there) and will explore the surrounding area too. What areas would you rec outside of town that are worth investigating?

Fingers is fine. Low tide in bottom quarter so watch for creeks. If doing laps do top 3/4
Town and Country opposite Coast Hotel turnoff is marginal. Needs another storm
Parking lot (ie first truck pullout E of Revy) also marginal
If RPDC is below 1m (it is) expect slide alder in lower slopes like Asulkan, Abbott or Illecillawaet practice.
Fidelity at 170 means carry a rope for Great Glacier.
I've got no intel for anything up in the pass. Those are just general obs. The MCRs will have more. So will FB group Revelstoke Ski Tourers

Friends and I will be out in a week. I know it’s been high pressure and no snow but at least no rain like last year. Some days, day tripping and four nights up to Asulkan. How are conditions holding up?

we went away for a weekend confrence in banffff and come back to 1/2 meter of snow, the ranger refered to 15cm as " dribs and drabs for around here " conservative isnt a bad ideaa
if it doesnt snow and its bulletproof which happens you can ski things you would never do in a normal year, depending which side you stay a keep in mind the time change and aviy control
Ski conditions have held up quite well on east and north aspects despite the lack of snow. You just have to work harder to find the goods because most lines are tracked out. Even Flat Creek had tracks this weekend. Fortunately, there's quite a bit of snow in the forecast. Freezing levels are rising, but they appear to be topping out at 1,300m, which is the elevation of the Rogers Pass Centre, so it won't be too bad. You'll be good at the Asulkan and should be able to enjoy laps of the Tree Triangle and Ravens if visibility and/or stability make the alpine a no-go.
For day trips, if it snows in town, Macpherson is a great destination. The Fingers, Fuzzy Knob and Burnt Knob are all good skis. If it's warmer, seek out north-facing runs at the Pass (Illecillewaet, Asulkan, and Loop Brook areas).
Sounds like eastern rockies modus operandi. More opportunity to get into the alpine comes with it
