Anyone ride the Line Vision 108? My thoughts:

I grabbed some super cheap 183's and mounted them with Shift's (gasp!) from Evo and gave them a ski inbound with my youngest today.

It's meant to be my touring ski, but it was a blast. I was probably the most impressed with how they carved groomers. They really reminded me of the last gen SFB's. They can rip super tight, high angle carves, for a 108. They're also impressively damp for a 1650g ski.

As long as you don't try smashing down chop at dumb speeds they're really fun.

I wouldn't be upset to go on a trip and take these as my only ski if things weren't bulletproof.

Anyway, if you like the mount point and are looking for a pretty versatile touring ski at a great price they're worth a look.

Having toured on a set with voyager 12’s for 3 seasons mounted at rec, I completely agree.

Never skied them resort at all, but driving them with radical pros I was always shocked how damp they skied in soft snow.

Definitely think they’re a goldilocks ski that gets overshadowed by moments touring skis generally speaking. Hard to find brand new moment skis for $200 though.

I sold the voyagers and radical pros as I’m just not touring enough as I’m all in on resort days with a Louise season’s + a mountain collective pass, but held onto the visions and their skins for a future touring setup.

I think they would pair awesome with a 200 gram Franken binding setup + a boot like the ridge pro.

No experience with the 108 but I picked up the Vision 118 last year for cheap. Slapped some dynafit rotations on em and they’ve been a great ski for shortish tours on deep days! Looking forward to using them as a side country tool too. Nimble, stable and surfy.

Not sure I’d ski em on hard park though. I haven’t skied em this year but I recall skiing them down a road last season and they were a little squirrely - probably the difference between 108 and 118.

I agree with you that they are great skis that can be used both in and out of bounds. Plus the price point on em lately has been amazing

I picked up a pair of 189s during the sale. Haven't skied them yet. Look kinda similar to the 192 Mfree 108--wonder if this is the closest thing on the market to a BC version of the Mfree? Can't wait to make some turns on them.

I got some one eighty nines from corbetts for less then two fifty to go with some shifts that were sitting in my closet. I almost bought some bent one tens for the shifts, but I actually think the softer flexing vision is going to be better. I’m pretty pumped to ski them. The ktwo reckoner series completely changed my thinking on soft skis. And I think light and soft is a good combo, where as light and stiff is absolutely horrible.

Cool seeing that I'm not the only one that snapped them up. I was going to buy a full Moment setup when I thought about how much I actually tour. My buddy gave me some XT3's, so I have under $600 in the whole setup and it skis great.

Toward the end of the day I got them into a out 8" of melting mank and they did great there, too. I think they're going to be a really good touring ski for me.

Anyway, if anyone else is on the fence, go for it.

Finally took mine for a walk, just 2,000' vert inbounds under the lights at Snoqualmie, on frozen groomers with deposits of wind blown facets.

Mounted Solly MTNs OTL with toe shims. At 6' 155lb I'm glad I went with the 189, feels like the right amount of tip in front of me. The tails might be a bit of a pain for kick turns...TBD.

For alpine skiing I like the devastator, m-free 108, faction ct 1.0, reckoner 122. I don't have to think about these, just point and shoot. Intuitive and kinda disappear under my feet. They're going to be a riot in spring conditions, hopefully 3d snow appears in the near future for more testing :)

Punches above it's weight on terms of dampness but I wouldn't call it particularly damp compared to just about any 2000+g ski.

Just a first impression, but a good one--I can see why these are well liked!

I’ve been touring on them since they came out four or five years ago. MTN on one eighty threes at rec. Great ski, fun, easy, kinda damp and light. Have not broken them yet.

Great to see all these good reviews. Just picked up a pair of 189s as my do it all touring ski, and on paper I have high hopes they will deliver. Only thing is I would prefer a -8 mount, as opposed to the recommended -6. Has anyone moved the mount back on these? Based on the shape, it looks like it could work well there.

I picked up some deeply discounted 189 v118s last season and put some atks on them. Haven't actually gotten a chance to tour with them but got some fresh tracks in bounds with them and could see them being a solid powder seeking setup.

I feel like the mount point is pretty dialed to the shape and side cut. That's why I mentioned the mount point in my first post. You could probably go -1 without giving up much and have a bit more tip to drive.

We haven't had even a bit of new snow since I mounted mine. I've been skiing 78 and 94 waist skis. I'm hoping for some snow so I can finally get them out for a tour.

Once mine arrive I'll be mounting them at -2. Will be happy to report.

P.S. I like Blizzard Brahma and LOVE On3p Wrens of which I have 98, 108, 108ti, 114 (x2 because of hording)

I tried my one eighty threes at minus [emoji638] and did not like it. Went to rec and they have been awesome. Like snow machine said, I would go minus one but any further and you’ll feel like your chasing the side cut and can’t get forward enough. At least that was my experience.

Great feedback, I would love to go -2, but what your saying seems to make sense. I think I'll be happy at -1. And on a 189, that's still plenty of tip out front. On the 183 it may be a bit different.

Mounted at -2 with ATK FR14 AP. I'm hoping to try them soon.

First day on them and I like them at -2.

Can confirm the assessments above - easy to ski, stable and damp for the weight. I'm keeping them :)

2023 model, 189cm length, weighed at 1650 grams and 1675 grams. Very competitive weight for that size of ski, and one that is supposed to punch above its weight.

Can confirm! have the vision 108's in 175cm (160lb/5'8"), with a vario.2 toe and atk haute route heel ~1700g per ski with bindings, and riding radical pros. Super sweet setup, took it through half an inbounds run at baker to get to my car and was suprised how damp it felt on firm snow. By no means does it ski like an inbounds setup, but with the it punches well above its weight, would not hesitate to charge hard on it.
