Rossignol sender soul 102: deserving of the 'sender' title?

Fairly self explanatory. This ski does not appear to share any of the characteristics of the loved/despised soul 7. I'm weary of buying them due to the name. Information seems to be lacking outside of "this is a good ski. buy it" from most of the mainstream reviewers.

Mainly considering it for a tele ski. Curious if there are more objective reviews from people who could compare it to skis like the SF110, the OG soul 7, black ops 98, or competitor skis like the QST, Mindbender, or Rustler lines.

Like the profile of this ski and similar build to the SF 110 but was disappointed when I saw 1800-1900gr weights of the 180cm being spouted by early reviewers. Was just in a shop and they had the 180cm and 188cm in stock and they weighed 2150gr in the 180cm and 2300gr in the 188cm. So definitely more promising but still don’t love the lower turn radius specs.

In this range, I’d much rather the Enforcer 104 which I just got in the 185cm. Skied my 104 and SF 110 on Monday and similar feel to them with the SF 110 being more loose in the tail when flat. Was impressed with how much more stable and planted the new Enforcer 104 us vs the old 104 Free.

I’m guessing the Sender Soul is a good ski for most advanced/expert skiers. They aren’t light(as has been shared above) and they aren’t necessarily a soft flexing ski.

IMO, Rossi screwed up the first few versions of the Sender skis by making them stout, progressive mounts, but really flat tails. Add some tail rocker and those models get much more versatile. Sender Soul looks to check those boxes.

Fondled them in the shop. Felt nice. Good rebound when hand fucking them.

I was initially interested in this ski as a tele ski. Went down the rabbit hole and discovered that there's a black hole when it comes to freeride twins in the 105mm ski category.

Seems like you're splitting hairs when it comes to 100-110, but I consistently find myself looking for a freeride twin ~105mm. One of the biggest mistakes I've made is selling my peacemakers to Eluder. If you're in a similar boat as me, I don't think the sender soul 102 is a solid option if you liked skis like the Gotama, Peacemaker, Nordica Zero, or similar skis.

I hope that a new iteration of the sender free will take its place as a solid 105mm freeride twin. The 110 is already a great option. Though I think the categorical spread would be best if you threw a 105 sender free with all the aspects of the current SF110, then did a SF112.

For now I'm settling with a Revolt 104. The Elan playmaker was a close contender.

I'm also interested in what a new sender free looks like in the future.

Tried my new Enforcer 104 last week before skiing my Sender Free 110 and very similar feels. Was very impressed with the improvement in damping and stability over the old Enforcer 104 Free. Still playful when wanted too.
Heavier, stiffer and more stable than the Sender Soul 102 I’m sure.

Blister reviewed it and seems to be easy off trail but no crud buster as assumed.

It is pretty "sendery" all of which will be negated by putting teles on them.
