I'll get some photos of bikes parked at the Gondi next week, bikes that actually get ridden.
seems interesting but feel like its nothing some foam/socks and ski straps couldnt accomplish.

Not bad but those hooks are insufficient. This should be easily mocked up in an hour or two, if i have some time ill give it a go.

Huh. Cute, but is it necessary?
I don't really like clipping the boots into the skis. The boots stick out a long way, and boots are effing expensive, I would not want them to take a hit or even fall off. I think the poles should be strapped alongside the skis, and boots go on the pack. Of course that's just, like, my opinion, man.
Here is something from several years ago. The bike has a rear rack, and the skis and poles are basically just Voile-strapped on. The skis are together, rather than one on each side. Ask if any part of the rig isn't clear. (It has been a long time, I should do this again.)

Lots of ways to carry skis, but you want some decent tires or you'll end up on your ass.
