Anybody have recommendations for upholstery shops in the metro area? We have some older kitchen chairs that simply need new covers. The one quote I got down here was for a mini-fortune to do 6 chairs.
Would like to get some additional quotes...

If the chair shapes aren't too crazy, that's a pretty easy DIY. You just need to pick out some upholstery fabric you like and buy a staple gun.
I know someone who does cool work in Durango.
Probably a bit too far to travel for some kitchen chairs. :)
Depending on what your level of taste is buying a decent used set will be cheaper than ANY pro upholstery service. That shit is expensive.
I know a really good one in CB if you need a vacation excuse.

I can't speak to comparative prices, but Ricco does great work.
Kitchen chairs are stupid easy.
Did four and two stools last fall.
PS. Couches and chairs are painful.
As the others have said its not that that hard, I've done it myself and the results came out fine.
There is a one man shop that does really good work for $20-25 a chair if you bring him the material. I've used him twice.
Its ghetto though and you have to take the seat off for him. Its by the Botanical Gardens.
He has awesome Yelp reviews and earned them but... I'm not saying you should bring a gun but I'm not saying to not bring a gun.
There may be many unemployed fellows watching you park your car.
I didnt havetime to read the thread but Is this about the couch fucking ?
