Funny, all of mine open to 9/23. If there were no posts in September, it opens to 10/23. And it doesn’t find the new post on the last page unless I navigate there and then refresh that page.Quote:

Not a specific date for me, but generally late December or early January. Ah, those were the salad days...
But only on the app, works normal on desktop.
Every multi page thread I open just goes to page 1.
I reinstalled the app... didn't do squat.
Bummer.
Although I pay zero for the app, I do tolerate the advertisements.

This is becoming increasingly annoying trending towards maddening as time goes on.
I have found that tapatalk works better than the TGR app under these conditions, as I just have to hit the "double arrow" to get to the very last post in the thread, much closer to where I want to be. For the TGR app, I need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the current page before I can hit the double arrow.
Or select Jump to Most Recent from the dot menu.

That had so much promise as it worked perfectly on the first thread I tried it on. But didn't work at all for some other threads. Though I suppose I should still try it every time, because working partially is better than nothing, and when it doesn't work, it seems to take me to the same random places as the other method.Quote:

This annoyed me enough to go looking here. Then I found the thread and was like, sweet! Here’s the fix. Then I read through this thread and it’s all just people complaining about the same thing. I for one would be happy to pay for an app that worked.

I found that on Tapatalk, if I mark the entire forum as Read (3 dots, upper corner), then it goes to the most recent posts again.
Similarly, if I mark all as Read from a laptop, the Tapatalk will again take me to most recent posts.
This problem no longer occurs for me. Thanks for fixing this.

Yeah, I reinstalled tapatalk just to see what it’s like, just in case I wanted to post some pics. Same old bugs and ads that drove me away the last time. Yuck!
June 23, 2023 for me. Unless the thread is newer than that, in which case it goes to the first post. Only happens in tapatalk. Desktop is fine. Marking the forum as read in tapatalk didn't change anything for me.
desktop seems to be back except posting images
