Amen, brother. Still just kind of crushes me to think about him and how it went down for him...don't think I ever mentioned this to anyone here, but I actually met up with his parents a few years after he went (I was staying somewhere right by where he grew up). That was pretty heavy, although I'm glad I did see them. No words to describe that kind of thing...
Why today, Rev? Is this his birthday? Unless my memory is completely fucked he went in the early fall, so it can't be that anniversary (actually, I'm certain it was late summer/early fall now that I think about it).
edit: I think he was a March birthday guy...pretty sure I remember that being the case. Goddamn, Nils.
There's a thread for him at the bottom, when the threads were moved here they were organized by most recent reply. He was certainly on the list when we talked about setting this up.
That said, that thread, and many others, no longer have any images for a variety of reasons. One of my late night projects when I can't sleep has been trying to find them on the Internet archive so we can keep some of the history here. Lots of old pictures were hosted on biglines and other sites that no longer exist/host pictures.
