I am very happy with my St Croix 8wt. It’s not fancy, but I can throw it around in my boat or car and not worry about it, unlike my fragile Sage 8wt that I have broken multiple times. 9 times out of 10 I grab my St Croix instead of my Sage.Quote:

I’ve had many guides throw these rods and are blown away. I had a guide in Belize, (one of the Garbutt brothers), throw the 11 and he was throwing almost the whole line in the wind.

(I was gone for almost 3 weeks and it was waiting for me when I got home). Their customer service in terms of getting back to you, etc., blows.
