I am in no way connected to this company, but $350 for a great rod is pretty cool.

Where are these rods manufactured?
That is a good deal. Edge rods are really good sticks.

Yeah, I’m not sure how their business model works. They just sent me an email giving me $50 off of the discounted special price and I literally was thinking of just buying a rod I don’t need. I know… N+1 etc. but I’m just not gonna need a 14 weight for Guatemalan Sailfish anytime soon. I have a 3, 8 and 11 and my wife’s 4 is from them. I went to Belize in August, so I tested out the Thomas and Thomas 11 and the Sage 11. The Thomas and Thomas had cork that came unglued and the Sage weighed a ton. I’m not impressed and it ain’t about the money. They’re just not that great.
40% off for the 4th. bout to pull the trigger on a new poon stick.
Any other opinions on these?
Want a workhorse 8wt don't wanna spend a ton

Sent notice of the sale to my buddy, who is a very hard shopper and looking to buy a rod. His reply follows.
"They are closing out and going with better hardware on their new line. They charge an additional $10 Federal Excise Tax ( sounds like bullshit) and $15 shipping. So, when you add that, it's more like a 20% discount. Orders are 5 weeks or more out. I talked to some folks at Expo that waited 6 months for theirs."
I am very happy with my St Croix 8wt. It’s not fancy, but I can throw it around in my boat or car and not worry about it, unlike my fragile Sage 8wt that I have broken multiple times. 9 times out of 10 I grab my St Croix instead of my Sage.
I will be driving through Park Falls WI in a week or two, they have an outlet store at their factory. You have my digits, let me know if you want me to stop in. Lots of times they have cosmetic blems available.

Huh. They are changing their Delta, (or whatever they call their non-fly rods), but they can’t change much to the fly rods, and even if they did, who cares, these things are awesome.

I fucking love these rods. I now have a 3, 8, 9, 10, and 11, my wife has a 4.
I’ve had many guides throw these rods and are blown away. I had a guide in Belize, (one of the Garbutt brothers), throw the 11 and he was throwing almost the whole line in the wind.
Funny you ask that. I did break an 11 weight, (completely my fault), and I sent it to them after paying whatever fee and it took about three or four weeks, I guess. (I was gone for almost 3 weeks and it was waiting for me when I got home). Their customer service in terms of getting back to you, etc., blows. But, I don’t know, I kinda expect it for $327 (for a rod that casts better than or equal to the Thomas and Thomas and Sages I’ve been using lately from guides).
