Price police: How much should I be asking for this bike?

A Local guy wants my knolly endorphin that I haven’t ridden in years. Was decently high-end at the time but obviously it’s been sitting in my garage unused gathering dust. The brakes will definitely need to be rebuilt, the front one is fully seized and won’t activate at all, but as of when I rode it last, everything was fine. What’s a fair price to ask for something like this?

Formula R1 brakes, lefty carbon max fork, some XO drivetrain parts on a 3x system.

I’d have to guess the bike is at least 8 to 10 years old. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I’m old and the internet is scary lol

*Maybe* $1000, but probably more like $600-$800.
These days the best advice is generally to “Give it to a young adult that will definitely use it”

If you can make use of the tax deduction, find a group that will take it and give it to someone who will be able to use it. Probably easier if it were closer to an XC bike, but there are nonprofit organizations out there that would be able to use that bike.

Or #YOLO it at a random thrift store and make some dirtbag's day. Then claim aspirational pinkbike/pros closet pricing on your taxes.

But since you have a potential buyer lined up...yeah, $6-800 seems fair. That lefty fork has novelty interest though--if in good working condition, someone might pay you 3-400 for that alone.

Ask the dude how much he wants to give you for it, and then you say yes.

Or just give it to him, and never pay for beer when you are with him again.

FWIW, I got $900 for my 2010 Knolly Delirium during peak used bike craziness in 2020. Bike was in great shape. You might have to lower the price since it only comes with half a fork : )
