Further to the death of Robbie Robertson, another music legend is gone this week, though he was a little late in becoming legendary. If you don't know the story of Sixto Rodrigues, look it up, what a comeback from the presumed dead. And look for the documentary "Searching for Sugarman," it was on Netflix last time I checked.

Great story, but the movie overstated his obscurity. He actually had a reasonable level of sales and fame in multiple (not just South Africa) non-US markets, including Australia, where I grew up. He toured with Midnight Oil, and his Cold Fact album was a favourite amongst my contemporaries and I, up there with any of the early 70s singer/songwriters.
