I thought this stint in jail might be a turning point for him. I guess not. RIP a ripper
Well that fuckin' sucks. It was always fun skiing near him at Dynastar events. He jumped over my head once at Snowbird.
JHC, from Olympian to dead in a jail cell.
Ah shit. RIP. Thoughts to friends and family

I skied past him at Snowbasin once over a decade ago. I stared at him like he was a celeb in line behind me as he was a movie star to me at the time. Clearly we weren’t racing. Really sad to hear this. Obviously being an outstanding ski talent doesn’t mean you don’t have other personal challenges that are much harder for you. RIP.
Well that sucks. Rip in peace Mister.
Damn, RIP in peace Nobis.
I'd say being an outstanding ski talent at a young age can stack the deck against you. Peaking at 22 is a tough row to hoe. Never been much money in the Freeskiing side and it's just as hard on the body. Couple that with the hard party habit and...
Sad that he couldn't find his way in post ski-star life.
For posterity.

Very sad news. Thoughts to family and friends. Addiction is a horrible disease.
I remember seeing him in the tgr video posted above. Absolutely ripped. Very inspiring.

RIP Nobis
Some of you may remember he was a coach at the first Gordy ski camp. I attended that
camp and was in awe of the technical power Nobis possessed. Without question, the strongest
skier I ever skied with.
Tragic. RIP.
The mugshots tell the unfortunate story, sad to see such a decline and ultimately untimely death.
Some of us might remember he was at the inaugural Gordy Camp, and a fun dude to shoot the shit with. So sorry he couldn't shake the demons. Super sad. RIP J.
RIP Nobis.
Thanks for always taking the time to talk when our paths crossed. Enjoyed watching you full throttle it on skis

Rip Nobis I remember seeing him at the Bird in the earl 2000’s and felt Star Struck. A few years later I had a full neon green north face outfit. He came up to me on the tram and we chatted about it and skiing for a bit. He always said hi to me after that. Nice guy gone to young.
