Friday:
Left Durango at 2, snow over Hesperus, quiet drive across the rez, wind and gas in Flagstaff, rain in Williams, and camp in a soggy spot near Kingman.

Saturday:
Up at 5, gas in Kingman, drive into Las Vegas, through the city, and up to Lee Canyon.

Lee Canyon is having a banner year, with a 96 inch base reported. Party scene in full effect in the lot at 830. Beautiful new lodge. Day passes are $84 but if you have a season pass to just about any mom and pop hill in the U.S. you likely have a few days here for free.

Three chairs, some wide spaced groomers, some well thinned trees, gapers and first timers in the terrain park, and slush by noon.

Left at 2 when it felt like the slush had crossed into torn ACL territory. Down to the city, do city things, go on a run, and back to the mountain to find a place to camp.

Sunday:
Up early.

Up to the lot by 8 and it is 19 degrees. Skin up alongside the resort boundary then into the wilderness. Gain a high point with good south exposure and get a signal from Pahrump, views to Telescope Peak, and a distant sighting of the Sierra.

Back to the city in the afternoon, some poking around and another run. Up the valley before sunset to camp and dinner.

Quick skin up. There is much more enticing terrain but it's north facing, so some corn runs, bristlecone sightseeing, and get on the road.

Wait in a long line for gas at Costco in LV, Dutch Bros and Taco Bell in St. George, polygamist spotting in Colorado City, and a long drive across the rez in twilight.
