Nevada is a hidden gem.

Plenty to do in Nevada

welp indeed
F yeah!
I'm obsessed with Nevada as well. I'd love to go explore back country ski lines out there but I don't have the means right now to make that happen. Hopefully one day.
The whole state has this weird, mysterious thing about it.
This guy absolutely charges big back country lines in what looks like questionable marginal conditions. It's impressive af. I was thinking about how ballsy it is and how I would never take those risks, especially in such remote country. Then the vid gets to that and he gets whooped on skiing that wild couloir on Hole in the Mountain. That face has some very spicy looking options beyond the eye grabber he's skiing.
I hope this is a series and we are going to get a lot more of this Nevada adventure skiing from Josh. It's fucking rad!
If you ever pass through Kingston make sure to stop in at the Lucky Spur, a remote little bar in the middle of nowhere.

The spur is still for sale, I see they've lowered the price now.
It's such a cool spot. A killer shuttle trail off that pass would make it worth it. Too bad the FS wants nothing to do with the project. If someone went in with $ they may have the persuading power but that guy didn't sound like he was looking for any more of a work load.
Josh is one of the best.

Love the project and they are skiing some lines that few have other thought about skiing. Couldn't find if there was another thread on this..

Nice video. I spent a few years drilling out of Elko and we would always take a few days off from time to time to explore. Nevada always seemed to be the last great wild place in the U.S.. I would fly out for six week shifts and my company would always make us take a few fatigue days mid shift so we would load up the work truck and head out to points unknown. I think I remember the winter of 20-21 being especially giving in terms of snow.
Great video.....and I concur, the desert state has a lot to offer beyond hookers and blow.

This thread delivers
About this time a couple of winters ago while returning from Death Valley via Central Nevada, I spotted a line that is now pretty high on my tick list. This past weekend, I was over in Carson City for a concert; went out 80 and returned via 50. What I can say for sure is that if anyone has anything they want to ski in the West Desert, this is the best year I've seen out that way since the year that photo of Trackhead was taken! Been ooooohing, aaaaahing and scheming pretty hard these past two days.
