I'm STILL looking for a comfortable road saddle - with no luck thus far in terms of pain in spots where there should not be pain. I've tried 4 saddles at my LBS - this is after they did a fitting for me.
After reading a lot online, I am tempted to try a Koobi. Anyone ever try the Koobi Tri, AU Enduro or Chrono?
I have one - it was great on my road bike - very comfy, but gets caught on shorts easier than most for off-road, so therefore it's been sitting on the shelf for years since I sold the road bike. For road riding, I'd highly recommend it.Quote:

didn't a company make a adjustable width rail saddle a few years ago? shouldn't that help get the fit right?

I tried the Specialized Avatar in 2 different widths, the Terry Fly with a cutout, and a WTB Shadow V (so far the best but still not close to perfect)...all just don't work well on my roadbike. The full split-rail design of the Koobi seems like it just might alleviate my problems...hopefully!
Have you sat on the Terry Fly? I had a similar problem, and was told that the Terry is a "go to" choice for lots of people with saddle pain issues.
It has worked well for me, thousands of miles and 7 hour days in the saddle on my road bike, and even works on my 29er.
Yup, tried the Fly. Did not like.
I called Koobi directly yesterday and they hooked me up with a near-new demo of their Tri saddle for pretty darn cheap. Will be here tomorrow so we'll see how that goes - will review for any other people out there struggling with saddle soreness.
