Goatheads

I just had my first encounter with these vile, evil creations of nature. I've never had a flat from anything other than pinchflatting, yet I found like 10-15 of these little fockers embedded in each tire the other day (riding in Cali).

What the hell do you do to avoid these things?? I still don't know exactly where I picked them up. Is NoTubes the answer?

Converting your tires to tubeless using Stans kit has worked perfect for me. We have millions of thost bastard goat heads in the East Bay(SF), and so far Stans is the only way to stop them.

im pretty new at all this biking stuff, But since i started using thin tubes+tape, ive never gotten a flat. The goathead can't penetrate the tape.
