DMSO anti inflammatory and bunions

Anyone hear about DMSO?

I always had very bony feet, with what looks like bunions, but they have been like that even before my 20s. One of those "bunions" got inflamed a few months ago and I haven't been giving it a proper rest. I was complaining about it and a naturopath type told me about this DMSO. Supposedly it works very well for reducing such buildups, inflammation, arthritis... lots of stuff. Then she told me she used in the field for torn ligaments, and a big hematoma. Field and torn ligaments really caught my attention due to skiing.

There really doesn't seem to be too much info out there on it. No hype. She said it's quite popular with veterinarians. I am quite skeptical, but "I want to believe" in this DMSO.
