It sounded like a good idea in the meeting when the director with a hyphenated last name and a degree ecology from some Cali U. proposed it.
Seems like you should be able to take it the dump on toxic waste days, same as old paint and other chemicals, although the bulk would be a problem.
I used to take that stuff to the dump 8 yards at a time once a week. Multiply that by 10,000/day? But I'll bet that idea would sound good at a meeting in Sacramento.
The headline confused me- I didn't know they treated hammer handles. I've never worn one out.
