I've had this pair of Zrs hanging around for years, good shape, skinny brakes 7-17 DIN. Worth swapping brakes and mounting? Do people still ski these?Attachment 349514

Mustonen skis a pair of those

I have a pair of ZR18s of a similar vintage I still ski hard on. They're bulletproof. The AFDs came off of mine, but I bought a sheet of adhesive-backed Teflon off Amazon and they're right as rain now.
Effectively the same thing as a Pivot 17. Solid binding
I have a pivot jig...front 2 toe holes the same? Then eyeball the rear?
I believe there are pdf templates for this toe piece online. I mounted a pair maybe 2 winters ago. The work great

Front two holes should be the same, use those to drill the rear center hole in the toe and you're good to go. I used a pair of these up through a few seasons back with no issues at all.
Hot like Tomba. Cool like Plake. I've got a Forza color scheme set waiting to be remounted when the right vintage sticks present themselves.

Bumping this because I just resurrected mine with some 110mm brakes and they’re looking fresh as ever
Postscript: anyone have a spec for the thickness of teflon/ptfe sheet needed to replace a missing AFD pad? Or better yet, a source for pre-GW AFDs? ZRS are 3 bolt not 4, so the newer AFDs won't swap in.
I may have what you need….

My favorite ZR is the one with the shaved toe wings, to prevent boot out you know.
