I'm looking for a way to measure and record heart rate off the bike. I use a Garmin computer on the bike and pair it with a Garmin chest sensor. I really don't want to buy a Fitbit for hiking, but maybe I have to. Is there a phone app that records this data and stores it, from my Garmin chest sensor? That's all I need. But, maybe a Fitbit is the thing. Is it a cool watch, too?
the wrist heartrate sensors are quite a bit less accurate than the chest straps, so depending on your needs it may not cut it. if you're already using garmin and have disposable income (ahem benny) you could just get a fancy garmin watch and probably use the chest strap or the wrist HR depending
Depends on what frequency your chest strap broadcasts on. A lot of them are ANT+, which a lot of phones don't pickup.
Do all Garmin watches recognize Garmin chest sensors?Quote:
