Sierra Avalanche Center - FREE Motorized Level 1 2 and Rescue courses 2020-2021

Sierra Avalanche Center is once again offering FREE Motorized Avalanche Level 1 & 2 Avalanche Risk Management. and Motorized Avalanche Rescue courses in Truckee and South Lake Tahoe.

These classes are funded through a grant from the California Department of Parks and Recreation, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division. Green sticker money pays for these classes.

Big ups to Travis Feist of SAC for putting these together.

I’m not an instructor or anything. Just sharing important info. I’m glad folks are taking advantage of these free classes. Travis Feist, who leads this program, is a great instructor. I’ll be doing an article on him and this program soon.

I’d like to hear from any students in these classes for a story I’m working on.
