legends, lore and luaus a western tr aka what i did on my summer vacation
well yeah
dark clouds of global pandemics
silver linings of potentials appear then disappear
then another appears
the luau was always something i plan on
back when we were on lockdown and the wife said utah would peak mid july early aug, i was thinking im fucked
or one hell of a time to git out of the hood
My cali hippie bro Jose and i traded texts/plans throughout the spring and summer
Harry retired and id planned to fish with him this summer
So other than requesting a couple weeks pto from work i didnt make real solid plans
Joe got into town monday, i cranked out one last nofunday and headed home to pack
The plan was to poopfish the bear tues
well given the choice of poopin in triple digits heat or rolling up n to elevation and being shown new waters
Joe picked green
Im packing joes stoggie smokin and brown water sipping
hes bemoaning not being able to git a haircut
Id canceled some crown work to go skiwithharry at bigsky in feb, then the lockdown came my practitioner of dental arts cancelled my appointment
im bemoaning this packing and eating and i break a crown
So I send jose off tuesday morn to hook up with our bro saulminnow and go to the dentist to make sure i wasnt going to be dentally fucked on the wyo/mt land
he took xrays cleaned it up packed some temp stuff on the sharp points and told me to go git the fish on
fur kid and i hit the road

I enjoyed the N.Fork Shoshone float immensely. Will plan on more of that next Luau.
The camp, food and folks were plenty good fun.
Harry, I got pulled over 20 minutes after I split. Got away with a warning by the trooper, 64 in a 50mph zone.

Glad you enjoyed the elk and am sorry I couldn't cast with you. BTW, Harry is way too handsome to be called a mule. Here's what the mule looked like that packed half of my elk last season:
